34 weeks and baby shower # 4!

I'm tired of fiddling with the format/text with my blog- copying/pasting isn't working (as I'm sure you can see by the last couple posts) so I'm just not doin' it!

lazy? YES! sorry ;)

This past weekend was my last shower! (I have one at work in a couple weeks but its more of a lunch) Vicky, Court, and Becca threw this one and it was amazing! Everything was so beautiful, becca did a fantastic job on the cake, Claire & Aunt Mary (and brynn!) drove in from Charlotte, and my SIl Anna surprised everyone and flew in from Colorado!! we had so much fun, the food was delicious, and joey & i got stocked up on some great stuff!

Cake SIL Becca made, SO beautiful!

Canvas Vicky made, so cool- Joey & I love it and hung it up immediately!

It was a great weekend :) Yesterday we spent time doing ALL the laundry for baby, folding, hanging, organizing all her clothes, towels, blankets, bibs, etc. It made it so much more real! 6 weeks till my due date- HOW CRAZY. MIL and Aunt Mary both think I'll go early, we shall see :)

Now we're just figuring out what to take back/exchange, the small things we have left to get, and finishing off my to- do list!

I still have yet to feel any braxton hicks- which is crazy to me, but apparently its normal...one thing I definitely havent missed out on is the swelling/water retention! My hands and feet are swelling more often than not, and I swear my face is too but apparently no one else sees it! Lack of sleep is still there (I'm a sleepy girl) but finally got the heartburn under control (thank god!).
Overall I have nothing to complain about, and just pray the rest of the pregnancy goes smoothly and our baby girl gets here safely!

"We’d tell you to take a deep breath and relax, but it’s probably tough to do either of those at 33 weeks. It’s probably tough to be comfortable at all, since you might be feeling overheated on top of your other symptoms, too. But you’re probably getting super excited to meet baby, and we can’t blame you. Week 33 is a good time to make sure you have a safe car seat for baby -- go ahead and install it already. Sure, you might not see baby for another month, but if you have an early surprise arrival, that’s the one thing you really need to have ready
She's keeping her eyes open while awake. She's also starting to coordinate breathing with sucking and swallowing. Her bones are hardening, And she is going through (more) major brain development -- that's one smart baby!"
She weighs about 4.2 to 5.8 pounds and measures about 17.2 to 18.7 inches. And she may grow up to a full inch this week -- amazing!"

I had my third baby shower on Saturday and it was so much fun :) My mom, MIL, and family friend Elaine threw it for me at Elaine's house. everything was so pretty, the food was delicious, and it was awesome to see everyone! Adelynn got lots of cute stuff!

I have my last baby shower coming up this Saturday at Vicky's house thrown by her,Court and Becca! Claire and Aunt Mary are coming in from NC and I'm so excited to see them! It'll be a ton of fun. Thats also Becca's birthday so we'll be having a family dinner to celebrate that with her :) I need to go shop for her this week!!

I have my 33 week appointment this week (Wedns) and we have our hospital tour on Thursday! we are 7 weeks (or less if she comes early) away from meeting our sweet girl! I CANT BELIEVE IT! how crazy!! I'm so dang excited to see her face, hold her and kiss her. I can't wait.

Works been busy, I took on another PM so I now assist two different Project Managers- love that they believe in me enough to give me more work!
(*Fingers crossed I don't go in to labor at the office, I'm so scared of that lol*)

Other than work and baby showers we're really just gearing up for the baby! I've started thinking about what to pack in my hospital bag, We need to finish watching our birth class DVD, and I want to get started on her baby book-- we got the cutest baby book from my aunt!

32 weeks and baby shower #2!!

How Far Along? : 32 weeks!

TOTAL Weight Gain: 20 ibs as of 1/26 (forgot to ask at my last appointment)

Maternity clothes? : yep! i can tell my hips have gotten bigger too, my pants are SUPER tight in the hips now. I had to borrow Joey's clothes this weekend lol

Stretch Marks? : Couple small ones on my hips, no biggie. none on my tummy so far!

Sleep: awful, awful, awful.

Best Moment This Week: baby showers!!

Miss Anything? : sleeping on my stomach..big time.

Movement: all the time! she's gotten so much bigger/stronger too! I can feel her kicking my pelvic bone/hip- SO crazy!!

Food Cravings: sweets, chocolate and fruit in particular!

Anything Making You Queasy or Sick? : not a thing!

Gender: GIRL!

Labor Signs: nothin' ! STILL no braxton hicks!

Symptoms: lack of sleep, back pain, heartburn and indigestion like CRAZY!

Belly Button In or Out? : seems like its more out than flat now.

Wedding Rings On or Off? : off, just gave up trying cause i dont want them to get stuck!

Happy or Moody? : hormonal, but happy!

"At 32 weeks, baby’s birth still seems kind of far away, but you and baby are physically ready in a lot of ways, just in case there’s an early arrival. Baby may have turned so she’s in the head-down position by now, poised for her trip down the birth canal. Intensity might be building in the symptoms department, as heartburn and contractions intensify around week 32. But we’re guessing you’re so excited about baby’s impending arrival, they’re not slowing you down much. She's getting ready for her descent -- she's likely in the head-down position now. And she's probably feeling a even more cramped."

Still growing, your baby weighs in at about 2.5 to 3.8 pounds and measures about 15.2 to 16.7 inches.

So yesterday was my second baby shower! My best friend of what is it now...15 years? Christina, and her mom threw it for me! We got a bunch of good stuff, including a head start on diapers- so nice! and it was awesome catching up with everyone. its funny cause i HATE being center of attention, i get so nervous! but thats kinda what a baby shower is lol...so it was interesting. so much fun though. Thanks again to Neen and her mama! and everyone who came!

I have another one this weekend given by my mom, her best friend, and my MIL-- cannot wait to see everyone!

Last week and up to today I'd been feeling really sick :( and swelling like CRAZY! so bad that the doctor had be come in a day before my appointment to check on my swelling. she told me to keep an eye on it, and if it got any worse they were going to send me to the hospital for tests and ultra sounds to make sure there wasnt a blood clot or anything. BUT luckily the swelling is doing a lot better. i still feel kinda icky but surviving!

thats all for now! baby shower #3 this weekend, and next doc appt is next week!!

nerves.

so i have 9 weeks until my due date...7 till she is full term..and who knows if she'll come early, on time, or late.

and me? i'm a planner. which does not mix well with child birth!

i've been nervous about L&D but in the last couple days...i've become straight up freaked out about it. i mean obviously i need to just woman up and deal cause shes gonna come out one way or another-and i cannot wait to meet her! but its the whole process of her getting here that scares the crap outta me!

i think its just not knowing when, or where, or how i'll go in to labor. i'm planning on working up until birth- and i'm crossing my fingers (and legs!!) my water doesn't break at work or something. how embarrassing! i HAVE read that a small percentage of women actually have their water break naturally, most have to have it done at the hospital.

joey & i are watching this DVD :

so in the first few sessions we learned the 6 preliminary signs of labor, and 3 actual signs of labor. So both of us feel confident we know what to look for. but we have no way of knowing when its game time!

and then theres actually going through labor...and delivery. i think its fear of the unknown (the planner in me doesn't like that!). i'm scared to death of extreme pain, tearing, all the blood, complications, OH MY GOD i mean you just never know whats gonna happen!! i've heard HORROR stories, but i've also heard stories about L&D that were a cake walk and pain free.

i'm just scared, plain and simple. and i'm not ashamed to admit that one bit. its been on my mind more and more lately, and i just keep praying the remainder of my pregnancy goes smoothly and L&D goes well too.

joey (of course), my mom, and his mom will be in the L&D room with us so i know he and i both will have lots of support to get through it. and i know we'll have tons of prayers coming from the waiting room that'll be full of family and friends!

and Adelynn? will be totally worth it all, trust me i already know this. i cannot wait to meet our little girl, i know she will change our lives forever in the best way possible.

for now i'm going to enjoy February! Full of baby showers and fun stuff. I'm going to try and push aside all my fears and worries till March; i'll be sticking close to home during March in case she decides to come early-- so i'll have plenty of time to worry then lol.

for those of you that have prayed for us during this pregnancy-- THANK YOU. we don't take them for granted and appreciate them so much. PLEASE continue those prayers!!

"Welcome to week 31. Can you believe all five of baby’s senses are fully developed? She also keeps getting smarter. That’s probably good to know, since you might actually feel a little dumb. You’re not! It’s just that many moms-to-be find themselves acting absentmindedly during the third trimester. Some say that “pregnancy brain” isn’t a proven physical ailment, but can you think of another time in your life when you’ve had more on your mind than now? We’re guessing no. That right there is enough of a reason to be so forgetful. From 31 weeks on, you’re bound to feel a lot of the same symptoms -- some may get worse, some may become bearable. And you might start to have more trouble getting around as you get heavier and feel more and more short of breath. Remember not to push yourself too much. It’s good for you and baby to get some exercise, but definitely take breaks to rest as much as you need. She's going through major brain and nerve development. Eye development, too. Her irises now react to light!
All five of her senses are in working order."

She's about 15.2 to 16.7 inches long and weighs about 2.5 to 3.8 pounds this month. She's getting so big, she's probably crowding your lungs.
